<p><strong>This test is used </strong>to estimate the levels of IgG antibodies against Rubella. <strong>Rubella is the virus that causes German measles.</strong> If contracted early in the pregnancy, the infant may develop heart disease, retarded growth, hearing loss, blood disorders, vision problems, or pneumonia.
